Day by day

Day 1

A Step into Africa: a Colorful Arusha, the Safari Gateway of Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transfer 40–45 minutes to Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge, a restored century-old farmhouse at the foothills of Mount Meru. A long-standing Miguu favourite.

Day 2

From Arusha to Tarangire, "Elephants Paradise", Then to Karatu

Drive (~3 hrs) to Tarangire National Park for a game drive among its iconic baobabs and Tanzania's largest elephant population, then continue to Karatu for the evening.

Day 3

Speaking with Clicks: Meeting the Hadza and Datoga Tribes

Drive (~1.5–2 hrs) to meet the Hadzabe hunter-gatherer tribe and the Datoga blacksmiths, before returning to the lodge for a late lunch and relaxation.

Day 4

From Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater, Then a Beautiful Drive to Ndutu, South Serengeti

A 3–4 hour game drive on the crater floor (Ngorongoro is a UNESCO World Heritage Site) with Africa's highest density of predators, with a chance of the endangered black rhino — followed by a picnic lunch and the drive on to Ndutu. Expect to see wonderful landscapes, Maasai, and game along the way (~2-3 hrs).

Days 5–6

Ndutu Exploration: the Open Plains, Marshes and Wildlife of Ndutu

A relaxed pace with morning and afternoon game drives across Ndutu's plains and shoreline — prime territory for lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards — with optional swimming, or scenic walks (reservations needed).

Day 7

From Ndutu into the Heart of the Serengeti

A 4–5 hour game drive north through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and into Central Serengeti, with a picnic lunch en route, arriving to settle into your tented suite for dinner under the stars.

Days 8–9

Exploring Central Serengeti and Rhino Tracking with Rangers

An exclusive Black Rhino Tracking excursion in the Moru Kopjes, followed by full days across the golden plains in search of lions, cheetahs, and elephants — including a stop at "Pride Rock," the Lion King's famous setting.

Day 10

Fly to Arusha for Your Last Night in the Land of the Lion King

A short flight from Seronera Airstrip to Arusha, then lunch and browsing for arts and crafts at the Cultural Heritage Centre before checking in your 5-star hotel for an evening of comfort.

Departure

Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your onward flight. Departure timing depends on your international flight.

What to expect

Expect incredible wildlife sightings — elephants, cheetah, lions, leopards, wildebeest, and zebra — with high predator activity and rich behavioral moments (maternal care, herd protection, hunts).
Photography conditions are excellent: lush green landscapes, dramatic skies, and brilliant sunrises/sunsets, with rich photography opportunities among the tribes too.
Days are warm (around 30°C), mornings and evenings cooler (17–19°C, coldest in Ngorongoro), with occasional short rains.
Dust is a fact of safari life, so bring a face mask and camera protection.

Payment terms
